General Information
In september 1996 Carweb was activated on the Internet thus being one of the very first providers of and extensive vehicle Market for Switzerland. Our target was and is to offer a superior and extensive service to Garages, Autodealers and as well to individuals.
CarWeb's policy is to offer clear pricesettings, and amongst only advertisements, we offer a range of additional services, like your own homepage, E-mail address or inclusion of your list of cars in existing homepages. These services are all included in our charges, and do not cause any extra costs, thus preventing unexpected additionals. Inserting any advertisements including those with images can be accomplished free of charge.

Advertise cars
We offer a number of methods to insert your Advertisement at CarWeb:
- a) Online
- With your exclusive customer number and password you will have access to CarWeb's customer area. Here you will be able to insert, change or delete any advertisement, addional you will be able to see the insertion date, last changes as well the number of times you advertisement has been accessed at CarWeb.
- b) automatic import via interfaces
- With the import interface (auto-i-dat) we offer an uncomplicated and fast possibility to import the complete car stock including pictures into the CarWeb database. Also by using this method you can check how often a car was called up in the detail view.
With a subscription, you can also advertise motorbikes without additional costs, they are shown on the sister platform BikeWeb (www.bikeweb.ch).
There is also the possibility to advertise cars and/or motorbikes for customers, for which the customer's data (telephone and e-mail) can be provided directly.

Ads with images
Every car can be inserted and enhanced with one or several images. You can upload the pictures directly yourself. The size of the images will be adapted automatically.
The cars with pictures are automatically displayed on the CarWeb front page.

Services
- a) Your own Homepage
- For every CarWeb customer their own Homepage will be set up. This homepage will include: Company Name, Address, Telephone and Faxnumber, E-Mail Address as well as Logos of Brand(s) representations. The Link 'Show cars' directs visitors to the inserted cars of the Company.
Your homepage is accesible via a subdomain name like:
https://www.carweb.ch/homepage/Dealer
whereas 'Dealer' can be any choosen name (if not yet in use).
These homepages can be further extended, to make a comprehensive Internet presentation of the company, including Photos and Textinformation. - b) Your own E-Mail Address (if requested)
- With CarWeb you receive on request an E-Mail Address which is related to your Homepage, normally this will be the name assigned to that Homepage:
Dealer@carweb.ch
All incoming Mail-Messages can be downloaded from our Mail-Server. - c) Integration in an existing Homepage
- If you have your own homepage, you can directly access a list of cars advertised on CarWeb or integrate the list into an existing homepage. Depending on the number of advertised cars the functionality can also be extended with search functions.
